OUR MISSION
Raising funds for The Dementia Australia Research Foundation while increasing awareness and support for the care of people living in our community with dementia.
This fundraising event centres around the Memory Makers Art Prize where we recognise the talent of Australian artists both emerging and established. We provide a platform for discussion and connection through the creativity and interpretation around art and memory.
Our Why
Dementia is the second highest cause of death in Australia for men and the leading cause of death for women, with 40% of adults over the age of 70 experiencing some level of dementia impacting their lives.
Having witnessed the devastation and heartbreak of this disease firsthand, Lorraine Holland along with daughter Laura have made the absolute commitment to raise funds for Dementia Research in finding a cure.
Memory Makers Art Prize
Memory, insight and perspective are essential for creativity. We use the significant connection between art, nature and health to encourage a community focus and commitment towards Dementia research and support for local care services.
